Bonjour,
Gilbert requested Dutch pancakes for breakfast this morning. Those boys can put away the Dutch pancakes!
Joe went visiting this morning. They stopped by the church and discovered a "bucket brigade" in the church yard. People had come through a broken rung in the gate and were helping themselves to the well water. So, Joe and Dan went to get some locks and found a welder to repair the gate. When the welder was almost finished with the welding, the power went off. It went off at home too and was off until 8:30 this evening.
The kids did their homework and played. I worked on cleaning up the kitchen and doing laundry. We had Bible Club at 11:00. There were sixteen in attendance today.
As I was fixing lunch, the power went off. When Joe got home, he fired up the generator. The power was off for eight hours this time.
After naps, Joe took the kids up to the church for the 4:00 Bible Club up there. They had over 150 children. Joe said that the kids did not stay in one place long enough for him to get an exact count. Gilbert and Danny ran their little hearts out playing soccer. Bonnie said that she was the cheerleader. She was trying to teach some girls how to play hopscotch, but she said that they did not do it right. I stayed home and made pizza for supper.
After supper, Joe went with one of the men in the church to visit the guy who was guarding when someone tried to break in. He said that he had gone up the hill and heard a vehicle. He said that he thought that it was our vehicle, but when he came down the hill, it was a different vehicle. He said that it drove off as he came down the hill. Something does not add up about his story, especially since he has been avoiding Joe at all costs for the past couple weeks. Even the young man's father thought that the story sounded fishy. Joe told the former guard that he needed to stay off of our property. The father said that if he sent him to the farm that he would send someone to accompany him to make sure that he did not step foot off of the path. Joe got back home about 9:00.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
