This morning started early. We ate breakfast and got ready to leave before 7:30 a.m. School chapel begins at 8:00, and Sammy was invited to speak to the children for chapel. She did a great job telling the story of David and Goliath, and the students listened closely.

While she told the story, we enjoyed visiting with some local pastors and sharing fellowship. It’s always a blessing to hear what God is doing in the ministries here in Ghana.
A Morning in Ministry
After chapel, everyone came back to the house. While some went to the fruit market, others headed to town to run a few errands. I needed to pick up some electrical items for the Ruckmans’ house, and thankfully, we found everything we needed.
Once we finished, Dave, Sammy, and I went to get some lunch in town. There’s a small sandwich shop I remembered from before, and it was just as good as I hoped. Simple things like a good lunch and fellowship always make the day brighter.
Filming for the Boarding School
When we got home, we recorded a new video for the boarding school project. We captured some great footage that will help share the vision for this ministry — especially the part of the school that will house orphans. Every time we work on this project, it’s exciting to see how God continues to open doors.

Dinner and Preaching in Kansaroado
After recording, we relaxed for a while before supper — fried tilapia and banku, a local Ghanaian dish that’s both tangy and comforting. Then I prepared to preach in Kansaroado for Pastor Harrison. Brother McCurry preached that same evening at Brother Ruckman’s church.
While I was preaching, I thought I recognized two girls sitting near the back. Sure enough, they were the same girls who used to sneak into our swimming pool years ago when we weren’t home — and sometimes even stole things from the yard! Seeing them now, saved and faithful in church, reminded me how God can completely change a life.

Gilbert’s Ministry and a Sweet Ending
Meanwhile, Gilbert taught the children’s class at Brother Ruckman’s church. The kids were thrilled to see him again. He did a great job teaching, and everyone was encouraged by his message.
After church, we all gathered in the living room, enjoying the air conditioning and sweet fellowship that always follows a full day of ministry. These are the moments that remind us why we came back — to serve, to teach, and to watch God work in hearts across Ghana.
Reflection
Days like today make me thankful for every opportunity to preach and share the gospel. Preaching in Kansaroado wasn’t just another service — it was a reunion, a testimony, and a reminder of God’s grace in transforming lives.

Everyone is so busy! Hope you are continuing to have a great week. Praying and thanking God for all of your sacrifices.
I enjoy reading your posts Brother, and the Lord’s work you are doing in Ghana. Praying for you all!
What a blessing to read what is going on in your lives. We serve such a wonderful Savior!!! Pray that will continue to use you in his service.
