Here's Danny's update from May 20, a full day at the youth camp in Tacloban.
They started early. The team leaders, Danny included, each led their groups in morning devotions before everyone ate breakfast at the camp. From there they gathered for the morning service, where one of the national pastors preached. Danny said it was a great message.
After that, the camp broke into split sessions. Dr. Chen, the physician who leads this medical missions team and a member of Bro. Cassel's church in Linton, spoke to the senior high and young adults. That session really stuck with Danny. The message was about being an insulator and not letting the temperature of the world around us influence who we are. Danny said it was a great truth and a real blessing to him.
Missionary on Fire Podcast
Preserving the Legacy of Faithful Missionaries
The Missionary on Fire podcast features interviews with veteran missionaries, classic sermons from the field, and stories of God’s faithfulness across generations. If you love the heart behind these stories, you will love the podcast. New episodes regularly.
Lunch came next, then a quick run over to the other hotel and back to camp for the afternoon. The rest of the day was team games, and Danny's group worked hard to win. They played several rounds and had a great time before cleaning up for supper and the evening service.
Pastor Cassel preached again that evening, and it was another good service. More team games followed, and then everyone headed back to the hotel for a few hours of rest.
If you'd like to see what camp looks like, Ley-Sam Baptist Church has been posting photos on their Facebook page. You may even spot Danny in a few of them.
We're thankful for a full, good day. You can keep up with the rest of our family's missions updates at https://consfords.com/blog.

Loved looking at all the pictures. Sure enough I saw Danny! What a privilege to be his grandma!
