Bonjour,
We left the house at 6:30 this morning. We picked Lenell up and then
headed to Bassam. We got there at 8:00. Joe, Dan, and Lenell headed
back into Abidjan. The guys were showing Lenell where the meat market
for beef is, where the place for buying fresh chickens is, and where the
bulk store for dairy products is. The dairy place didn't have any more
cheddar cheese, and it looks like they might be going out of business;
that was sad news.
The children and I stayed with Jennifer and the boys. Gilbert and Danny
played outside with Justin while the other boys did school. I listened
to Isaac read and helped with a grammar question.
Joe brought chicken home for lunch. It was from Castle Fried. That was
the best chicken we have had from that place.

After lunch, Lenell, Jennifer, and I went to a used clothing market in
Bassam. Most of the clothing comes from the States. It was probably
donated. It comes in big bails. The vendors buy it buy the bail and
then set up shop to sell the clothes. We had a good time. We all found
a few things. We were wishing that we could stop at Sonic on the way
home for a slushy or something. : ) The guys kept all of the children
at the house. Bonnie and Danny both took a nap.
Gilbert fell asleep on the way home. He didn't even wake up when we
carried him inside. So, Joe just took him on to bed.
We were all ready for bed this evening.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
