Bonjour,
Joe went visiting in Belleville this morning. They had some good visits.
The boys and I were picking up the living room this morning. I found a
little lizard in the lid of one of the toy boxes. I shook him out of
the lid, and the chase began. Gilbert caught the lizard in the block
container. He wanted to hold the lizard, but he wasn't brave enough to
reach in and get it. Danny reached in and got it. He dropped it back
in and then got it back out for Gilbert to hold. They were both taking
turns. Before long, the lizard had lost its tail. Not many minutes
later, the lizard was dead. Someone squeezed him a little too hard.
Gilbert wanted to save the lizard to show it to Daddy, but he decided
that we should go ahead and bury it so that it wouldn't stink. Of
course, Mommy needed to help with the burial.
Then, we had to go look at the bird's nest which the boys just
discovered yesterday. One of the trees in the back yard has a bird's
nest. The nest is right at my eye level. Gilbert wanted to know if
there were any eggs in there yet. Just as I tried to look inside the
nest, the bird flew right out in my face. That scared me. I told
Gilbert that we needed to just leave the nest alone.
Joe told me this evening that I had visitors at church on Sunday; then,
he told me this story. This morning, they visited some people who had
come for the first time on Sunday. The lady said that her children had
been attending another church. Their house isn't far from the
Belleville church, and she has been listening to me teach the children
outside. She said that she asked her children the same questions that I
had been asking, and they couldn't answer any of them. So, she wanted
to send them somewhere where they would learn the Bible. She said that
she sent them to church on Sunday. When they got home, they could
answer questions. She said that they have been singing songs and
playing so nicely the past few days. She said that she wants to know
about everything that is taking place at the church so that she can send
her children to all of the activities. The children were there again
tonight. Please pray that their mother will start attending with them.

Please pray for another family in the church. Sophie, a little girl who
comes faithfully, has to be tested for Tuberculosis. The rest of her
family has it; so, she more than likely does as well. Sophie's mother
was at church tonight. She has already received treatment and seems to
be doing much better.
We had a good service this evening. There were 34 in attendance. Joe
preached about faithfulness.
Danny was the side show tonight. We were sitting in the back. There is
a little boy named Malo who is about the same age as Danny. He usually
wanders in and out of the service. It rained right at the beginning of
the service; so, Malo's face was all wet when he came in. Danny was
trying to help Malo wipe his face off. Then, one of Malo's little
friends came to see what was going on. She stuck her head in the door.
Danny went over and ushered her in the door. The three of them were
standing in a circle holding hands. I had to get Danny to get him to
sit back down. Just after we got settled down from all of that, the
cows began to pass by right outside the door. Gilbert was giving Danny
a running commentary on each cow that passed. Never a dull moment!
Someone else held Bonnie for awhile, but she decided she wanted Mommy.
Someone had taken Danny's seat by that time. So, he just stood in front
of me for the rest of the service. Right toward the end of the service,
he thought he should collect the songbooks. What a mess!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
