Bonjour,
This morning, Joe went into town to run some errands. Before he got very far, the alternator died. He had to borrow a battery from a bank manager to start the car; then, he had to lock the throttle open, put our battery back in, and get to the mechanic all the while keeping his foot on the gas pedal through the traffic. They put a used alternator in, and he was back in business. We had several packages at the post office today. One of the packages had actually arrived in Takoradi on August 22, but a package slip was never put in the post office box to let us know about the package. Joe said that he gave out a lot of "Christmas gifts" today; everyone was looking for a handout. He got back home about 4:30 looking a bit done in.
The kids and I did some cleaning. Then, we made fudge. Danny could hardly wait for it to set up so that he could sample it.
Around 4:00 this afternoon, Gilbert started feeling puny. He started throwing up and was sick all evening. He finally went to sleep. Hopefully he will feel better in the morning.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
