Bonjour,
We left the guest house before 6:00 this morning and arrived in Takoradi a little before noon. It took a couple hours to get out of Accra, but the trip went smoothly. Joe is feeling a little better today but not back to normal yet. I am just hoping that the stomach bug does not go full circle!
The kids were happy to be home. They played outside most of the afternoon.
All of our Christmas decorations are still in Ivory Coast. We bought some decorations for a tree that we found in the garage, but it did not have a stand. Since we are coming down to the wire, we put a Christmas tree of lights on the window bars. When all else fails, improvise!! The kids had fun hanging the ornaments from the bars. I'll post some pictures later.
I was heading to the bedroom to wrap presents when that phase of the power went off. It came back on just before bed time. After I put the kids in bed, I took the presents out to the living room to start wrapping. Joe went to bed, but I am still wrapping.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
