W'apow mu e,

Danny had an asthma attack during the night.  He was coughing and gasping so hard that he threw up.  Joe and I got up to help him.  Joe got the inhaler, and I rubbed Danny down with Vicks salve.  He slept fine the rest of the night.

Joe took the kids to school.  Then, he met with one of the men in the church.  There has been one problem after another this week.  Pray for Joe as he deals with each different situation.

I worked on things around the house.

When the kids got home from school today, Bonnie was telling me about her day.  She said, "Mom, Amber Lamb had a Mexican dress on today.  Can you imagine it?"  She chuckled as she said it.

A man from Togo came to church tonight.  He speaks very little English and no Fante, but he speaks French.  So, Joe preached in English and French tonight.  That was the first time in a while that Joe has gotten to use his French.  Occasionally we run into a French-speaking person in town.  The Togolese man is a mason who has come here to work; he attends a Baptist church in Lome, Togo.

I forgot to tell some funny stories from yesterday.

The other day, Joe bought a little charcoal grill that he found in town. The kids have had so much fun with the box and the paper that the grill was wrapped in. It was wrapped in big sheets of brown paper. Bonnie somehow wrapped herself inside the paper. Then, she called out, "I'm a present." Joe asked her whose present she was. She said, "It's for Danny's birthday." Joe went to wake Danny up and told him that he had a present. Danny went running in to open it and was disappointed to find out that it was "just Bonnie." Later, Gilbert wrapped the box up in paper and told Danny that there was a puppy inside. Danny ripped it open and was once again disappointed.  Danny did not want to let a good box go to waste.  So, he cut off one of the flaps and made a shield with it. He was trying to figure out how to attach a handle to his shield. Joe cut a hole in it for him so that he would have a handle.

Just after the group arrived for supper last night, Danny walked outside carrying a big glass of water.  Just as he got out where everybody else was, he tripped and spilled his whole cup of water down the front of one of man's pants.  Danny came inside and sheepishly said, "Mom, I accidentally spilled my water on a man."

After supper and dessert, we all went inside because the bugs start to come out as it starts to get dark.  We had several plastic chairs for people to sit in.  One man was sitting in his chair when two of the legs suddenly gave way.   As he was lying on the floor in pain, Bonnie marched over there to tell him, "You'll have to buy another chair!"  She knew that Gilbert had to buy a new chair when he broke his chair at school; so, she thought that man needed to buy a new chair too.  The other men thought it was a great photo opportunity.

Nantsew yie!
