Bonnie Lorraine Consford was born on Thursday, June 12, at 8:45 A.M.
She weighs 7 lb. 15 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long.
An hour after she was born, she went into respiratory distress. She has
been in an incubator since that time. They thought she may have an
infection. They started her on an antibiotic and an inflammatory
medicine with an IV through the umbilical cord. She is also on oxygen.

They said that she will have to be off of all three things for eight
hours before she can be removed from the incubator. We are still unsure
what is causing the respiratory distress. Her diaphragm is moving very
rapidly, and she is taking very shallow breaths. Her coloring looks good.
The pediatrician here is not accustomed to explaining things. So, we
only know what my doctor found out from reading the charts.
Joe and Bob Mach are waiting for the pediatrician right now to try to
ask him some questions. Please pray for Bonnie that her breathing will
be regulated. Please pray that the doctors will have wisdom as to
exactly what needs to be done.
