Bonjour,

Bob Engelhart took Joe back to the doctor this morning. The doctor took
the bandage off and cleaned the toe with ether. He put a new bandage
one. We are supposed to clean the toe with ether and betadine every 48
hours and put a new dressing on. Joe is not enjoying having to wear
open-toed shoes.

Nana worked on shortening some pants for Joe today. The boys were
trying to help her sew. Danny was really fascinated with the sewing
machine. I wrote some thank-you notes. Margie came over to visit for
awhile this morning.

After lunch, we all took a nap. Nana took the boys on a walk with
Margie and Lenell. Danny wasn't too sure that he wanted to go if Mommy
wasn't going. Danny has been staying close to me since he saw the
suitcase come out yesterday.

Missions With the Consfords

These daily journal entries document the Consfords’ missionary life across Ivory Coast and Ghana. Over 1,630 entries capture the church planting, the hard days, the answered prayers, and the everyday reality of following God wherever He leads. Tomorrow afternoon, Lenell is going to come over to stay with the boys.
Joe, his mom, and I will stay at a hotel in Abidjan to be close to the
hospital. I am supposed to check in at 7:00 on Thursday morning for
surgery preparation. They will do the c-section at 8:00 on Thursday.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny

P.S. You may not hear from us for a couple days. We might be able to
use our computer at the hospital with the wireless internet. We will
have to wait and see.
