Bonjour,
This morning about 6:00, Bonnie and Danny came into our room and said, “Mom, can you cook breakfast?” They helped me make American pancakes. I think we ended up with more flour on the floor than in the bowl. Gilbert did dishes.
After I got the breakfast dishes done, we did school. Danny’s favorite part is break time. Gilbert struggled with Math today. He did the whole page just fine; but when it came to writing the number that came after, he was stumped. It was raining when we finished school. The kids played down here until it stopped raining; then, they headed up to the Luthers’ house to play until lunch time.
As soon as they come in the door, the questions begin. “Is lunch ready?” “What are we having?”
Joe stayed around the house today. He kept the pump going. That is a daily thing to keep the tanks filled.
After naps, the boys went outside to play. Bonnie woke up after they did and wanted me to walk up to the Luthers’ house with her. We took the road; it is not as steep as the trail. She kept saying, “Let’s run, Mom.” I would just get started, and she would say, “Stop. When I say ‘stop,’ you’re supposed to stop.” She is constantly talking or singing.
After supper, we played a game of Memory. The only problem was that Bonnie had confiscated half of the cards, and she had some of our matches. Gilbert got the most matches; Danny got a few, and I didn’t get any. Danny said, “You lost, Mom? We can play again. I’ll let you get a match.” He can be so sweet.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
