W’apow mu e,
We did not get an e-mail sent yesterday. I was sick all day. Bonnie had a rash on her cheeks and chest. Joe didn’t want to just leave Bonnie at home with me because I would not get any rest. So, he left the boys home to take care of us.
Joe went on to church and had a good morning. It has worked out well having the children eight years old and up in the auditorium for Sunday School and church. A lot of the children have started asking questions, and the adults try to give them the answers. Then, Joe and Dan can give them the right answers. Four girls came forward for salvation at the end of the morning service. After church, Joe went to the Lebanese restaurant and brought lunch home. I was not allowed to do any work. Joe said that the evening service went well too.
I felt better this morning but went back down hill this afternoon. It is very hard to do nothing when there are so many things that could be done. But, I guess that those things will just have to wait until I get over malaria!
Bonnie came in to report that Gilbert said she had dirty, old feet. She was not offended that he said her feet were dirty but that they were “old.” She said, “My feet aren’t old; they are new!” Gilbert was offended that she had put her dirty foot on his piece of paper.
Danny came inside crying. He had a bike wreck. He was telling us what happened. He said, “I crashed, and I hit nose first and knee second.”
Joe had to meet someone in town late this afternoon. He picked up some supper and brought it home.
Somehow the conversation got to the topic of marriage during supper. Bonnie said, “I guess I’ll have to marry Danny.” I told her that the Bible says that we shouldn’t marry someone who is related to us. She said, “Well, he is one of the only white boys I know!”
Nantsew yie!
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
