W'apow mu e,

This morning I got up and went visiting.  We went to see several church members that have been missing church lately and several who have been bed ridden.  It was raining and was a cool morning.  We saw several kids and told them that because of the rain we moved Bible club to the afternoon.

I came home and Laura was as white as a sheet!  She said that she hurt all over and had a bad headache in the back of her head.  She has never had malaria before and so she could not compare it to that.  I called a doctor and told her all of her symptoms and he said that he is sure she has malaria.  I got her started on the treatment and then put her to bed and told her she could not get up for any reason!  She will lay there and think of dishes and laundry and this and that and then the minute my back is turned she will be up doing those things.  I told her that I would take her and put her in the hospital (you don't want to go to a Ghanaian hospital)!  She decided to stay in bed this time!

As soon as I got her into bed and closed the door I heard what sounded like a bowling ball hit the ground outside followed by all three kids screaming!  I rushed outside and Danny came running around the corner of the house holding his arm.  I said, "What in the World!?!"  Danny said, "I fell out of the tree!"  I looked at him and he had a little scratch on his arm and his back looked like a pack of ground chuck in the meat counter at Wal-Mart!  I wanted to know how high he had been in the tree and they pointed about 20 feet up and said, "I was only that high."  I took him inside and put some iodine on it. I told him it was monkey blood.  After I pronounced him read to go, he jumped up and said, "Great!  Now that I have monkey blood I can go even higher!"  I told him to be sure that if he fell he did not land on Bonnie or Gilbert he might hurt them.

Gilbert wanted to help so, I let him fix lunch.  He put the pigs-in-a-blanket in the micro and set the table and pored the drinks and he was so proud to announce that he did it all himself!  Bonnie said, "Yea, but I was in charge!" I did make some chicken noodle soup for Laura.

I worked on my sermon for tomorrow while the kids took a nap.

After naps, the kids played outside while I fixed supper.  After supper Danny did the dishes all by himself.  I did not even ask him to do it!  I came into the kitchen and he said, "I wanted to help mom, so I am doing the dishes for her!"

We were watching the Olympics tonight and it came time for a medal ceremony where the American got the gold medal.  During the national anthem Danny asked, "Why don't they sing it loud?  Do they want to make sure not to wake the people up who fell asleep in their seats?"

Lo is not feeling too good at all!  Please pray for her!  We need her well!
