Bonjour,
This morning, Joe went into town to run some errands. Joe's aunt gave us the money to get an air conditioner for the kids' bedroom. He went to price air conditioners. He found a good deal and will be able to get some ceiling fans too to replace some that don't work so well.
Gilbert asked how many days of school we had left. I told him that we had five lessons left. He wanted to do two lessons today so that we could get done faster. After finishing one lesson, he wasn't too excited about doing the second one any more. There's always tomorrow. We should finish up this week. I tore out all of the remaining pages today and have them ready to go on the table.
Joe called the US Embassy this afternoon. Danny's passport is in. Joe will take the bus to Accra tomorrow afternoon, pick the passport up on Wednesday morning, and then take a bus home. We will all go to Ivory Coast next Monday. Our visas for being in Ghana run out on June 15. While we are in Ivory Coast, we will have to get a new entry visa for Ghana for Danny. We will just be there for a couple days.
Now that the dryer is up and running, it was actually a sunny day today after a couple weeks of rainy days. I kept the dryer busy today. I may actually get caught up on the laundry tomorrow.
This evening while I was getting supper ready, Bonnie came in and said, "The brothers are not sharing one to another." Then, she started singing, "Be ye kind to one another, be 'kindergarten' too." It is supposed to be "tenderhearted."
Bonnie's birthday is on Sunday. She will be three. The Luthers leave next Monday to go back to the States. I think we will have a party on Saturday night. Bonnie has been saying, "My birthday is coming up on June 12th." For some reason, she keeps saying that we are going to have a mud pie fight on her birthday. On Danny's birthday last year, he, Gilbert, and Sammy were playing in a puddle and had a mud fight. I guess that is what she is remembering.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
