Bonjour,

Joe felt better this morning and was able to make it through the day.  We left the house a little after 7:00 to go to Berea Baptist Church.  They have an English service at 7:30, Sunday school at 9:00, and a Fante service at 10:00.  Joe preached at both the English and the Fante services and did a good job.  The pastor interpreted during the Fante service.  During the Sunday school hour, the pastor had us go into his office for coffee, tea, juice, and cookies to help the kids make it through all three services. They had a class for the children to attend.  Danny and Bonnie ventured into the auditorium a couple times to make sure that we were still there.  We sat in a different place for the second service.  Bonnie went into panic mode when she couldn't find us.  Bonnie was impressed that the kids' class had toys.  She is now calling that church the church with the toys.
Danny hit his toe on something the other day when they were playing out in the rain.  The toenail on his little toe was hanging by a thread.  At church this morning, someone stepped on his toe.  He had worn sandals because of the sore toe.  They came to get me.  I had some baby wipes to clean the toe.  The pastor's wife had some band-aids.
We came home and had lunch.  The kids went to Bible club.
After Bible club, they usually play ball for a little while.  Danny's foot got stepped on again and bled quite a bit.  Joe removed the dangling toenail and fixed the toe up for Danny.
Gilbert was trying to tell me his new verse from Bible club today.  He said it is in "Atleastsheaskedyou," otherwise known as Ecclesiastes.
We had a good service at Mt. Calvary tonight.  The attendance was down.  With the rainy weather, several people have been sick with colds and that type of thing.  There were fifteen there tonight.  After church, April took us to Clara's house.  She is one of the church members and is sick.  April leaves with the Luthers on June 13.  I wanted to know where Clara lives so that I can keep visiting and encouraging her after April leaves.  April and Clara have gotten very close in the past year.  We saw a pink chicken on the way to Clara's house.  I guess they paint them pink in hopes that a hawk won't want to swoop down and get them.
The kids were all ready for bed early tonight.  They had a busy day.  Bonnie fell asleep while I was telling the bedtime story.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
