W'apow mu e,
Joe took the kids to school this morning. Then, he went to pick up the Fante teacher. I walked toward the main road so that they could pick me up on their way to the church. I didn't make it all the way out to the main road before they met up with me.
Our lesson went well. It was just for an hour today. Our teacher is the head teacher at a Methodist school and is squeezing us in around his busy schedule. We started with the seven vowels today and then added different consonants to make words. I was writing furiously to try to get it all written down. I did not catch what some things meant in English, but Joe helped me out. I will have to get used to the teacher's accent and his way of speaking. He talks very fast.
Joe dropped me off at the junction of the main road and the road that leads to our house. I walked home. He took the teacher back to school and then went to the dentist.
The dentists' and doctors' offices here are a little different in that they don't usually schedule appointments. It is just on a first-come, first-serve basis. When they do actually schedule an appointment, you are frowned upon by all the others who have been waiting all morning. They think that you are trying to cut in line, and it just about starts a riot. That's what happened today. The dentist told Joe that he is going to be going somewhere on Thursday; so, the office will be closed. He told him to come first thing Thursday morning, and he will see Joe before he leaves town. At least he is not in pain; it is just annoying to have things getting stuck in the tooth where there is no filling.

The kids had a good day at school. They played outside until supper time. Joe grilled chicken tonight; it was good!
We ate popcorn and watched Lassie after homework was finished.
I remembered a story about Bonnie that I forgot to tell. On Sunday during Sunday School, Bonnie came up to me and said, "Mom, do you want me to say it Fante for you after you say it in English?" She wanted to be my translator. The only problem is that her "Fante" is mostly words that she has made up. : )
Nantsew yie!
