W'apow mu e,

Joe took the kids to school this morning.  Then, he went to the dentist.  The dentist said that there are now two teeth that need crowns.  He said that he had some new equipment that was still at his house.  He wanted to use those things.  So, Joe is supposed to go back tomorrow at noon.

I got some things done around the house today.  We start our Fante lessons tomorrow morning.

We have not been able to talk to anyone with a video connection because our internet connection is too slow.  We got a new phone that has a camera on both sides.  We can now Skype with video using the phone.  My Dad has been in Idaho this weekend.  He was helping Oma with her webcam today.  They called us as Joe and the kids were on their way home from school.  So, they got to “ride home with them.”  We were able to see each other as we talked.  Dad and Oma both got teary-eyed, and I did too.  As soon as Gilbert got home, he ran to change his clothes.  He wanted to be sure that Grandpa saw his Texas Longhorns shirt.  Grandpa is an OU fan.  Bonnie was singing and saying verses while jumping all about.  Danny had already headed outside to play with the hose.

Martin came by this afternoon.  (Some people have asked who Martin is.  We first met Martin six years ago when we were helping the Siekberts.  We took care of their church while they went on furlough.  During that time, Martin was put in a Methodist boarding school.  He was required to attend all services on campus.  Joe would go to visit him every week.  Martin was known at school as “the Baptist boy.”  We formed a bond with him, and he still comes by to visit.  We encourage him to be faithful to his church.)  He played with the kids and then stayed for supper.  We had pizza.  Danny helped me make the pizza.

Joe went to bed after supper.  He had a bad headache.  He did not sleep very well last night and was up early the day before that.  He probably just needs some rest.

Pray for us as we start our Fante lessons tomorrow.  Joe already knows quite a bit of Fante, but I don’t know much at all.

Nantsew yie!
