Bonjour,
Joe went into town with Charlie this morning. They checked on our vehicle. They didn’t work on it at all yesterday; so, it is still all taken apart.
We are getting low on water again. There is a well on the property that had dried up at one time, but it has water in it now. Joe and Charlie bought a submersible pump today so that we can pump water out of the well to fill the tanks at both houses. After lunch, they went back to get the pipes and things needed to run a line from the well to the tank. When they finished getting all of that, the mechanic called and said that it was going to cost about $600 more for some other parts that were bad. We are beginning to wonder if the mechanic in Cape Coast traded some parts out; another guy told us that he had done that to him.
The power went off this morning just as we were getting ready to start school. We did pages. The power was off for about an hour.
Bonnie was doing ring a round the rosy with me today. When we all fell down, she said, “Mom, you’re supposed to eat the buttercups!” I don’t know where that came from.
The kids went up to play with the Luther kids for a while. Then, they came home and helped Daddy burn some dry branches around the well. Bonnie brought me a flower. I asked her what the boys were doing. She said, “Oh, they’re just burning.”
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
