Bonjour,
We had a little delay in getting to church this morning. The road was full of buses and teenagers. The Catholics had a big gathering of young people today. They came from Catholic schools all over Abidjan. We had to weave in and out of the line of buses and the mass of humanity, but we were able to make it to church.
Joe’s Sunday school class went well. He had thirteen today. There were four visitors. He has been encouraging those in his class to bring someone with them. He gave them each a contact card that they could fill out on their visitor. One girl had invited three people, but she only had one contact card. So, she went to two other people in the class and got their contact cards so that she would have one for each of her visitors. They all three came today.
We started out with ten in the children’s class. By junior church time, we had eighteen. It was a wild bunch today!
Danny fell asleep on the way home. But, he still went down for a nap after lunch. Gilbert and I took a nap too.
We had a good service tonight as well.
