Bonjour,
This morning while we were eating breakfast, Bonnie asked, “Who wants to be my sack of potatoes?” Danny quickly volunteered. He said, “Can you carry me?” She said, “No, but you’re still my sack of my potatoes!”
We started school while Joe went to visit the mechanic. We need to have some work done on the brakes. Joe also wants to get some extra hoses and belts for his trip to Burkina Faso just in case they need them.
Joe came back around 10:00. We all loaded up to go to the grocery store. On the way to the car, the guy working in the yard called out Gilbert’s name. Gilbert said, “Mom, that man knows my name!” He remembers Gilbert from when we lived here in Takoradi before. Then, Danny and Bonnie wanted to know if he knew their names. He told them he didn’t. So, they went to shake his hand and tell him their names. Bonnie said, “I’m Bonnie. Now, do you know my name?”
After we went to the store, we came back home and had lunch. While I was getting lunch ready, the kids were playing outside. Gilbert and Danny were hiding from Bonnie. Apparently, they hid in front of the vehicle. Gilbert came in with a scrape on his head. He stood up too fast and hit the car.
Danny and Bonnie took a nap. Gilbert never went to sleep. So, I had him finish school. The Luthers had said that the kids could come and play at 4:00. Gilbert started looking at the time on my phone at 2:30. He wanted to show me the phone every minute to see how much longer. I was glad when 4:00 came! We walked up to the Luthers. We have to go up a pretty steep hill to get there. Danny and Bonnie were saying, “I think I can. I think I can.” on the way up the hill.
I made pizza for supper. After supper, we made cookies. Bonnie and Danny were my trusty assistants. Gilbert swept up our mess when we were done.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
