Bonjour,

Today we went to the ocean.  The kids were so excited.  We followed the Luthers out to the ocean.  Our kids weren’t afraid of the water at all.  They marched right out there.  Gilbert and Danny were both riding the waves right along with Daddy.  Bonnie said, “I want to go out there with Daddy.”  Gilbert said, “Come on, Mom!  It’s great.”  My excuse was that I had the camera in my pocket.  A wave did hit me at my knees; that was deep enough for me.

We took a picnic lunch with us.  We ate lunch with the Luthers and April.  Then, the kids wanted to go back in the ocean before we left.

Gilbert and Danny wanted to ride home with the Luthers.  So, we traded their two boys for our two boys.  Their boys were very quiet all the way home.

For the past couple days, Gilbert has been hooting like an owl.  We asked him who taught him to hoot like an owl.  I guess he thought we were asking how he did it.  His reply was, “Well, first you gulp some spit…”  He lost us on that one.

When we got home, one phase of the electricity was off.  It seems to be just the water pump and a few outlets that are on that phase.  The electric meter has an alarm that beeps continually until the power is working correctly.  I guess it will be beeping all night because they didn’t fix the problem yet.  Oh well, at least the air conditioner and fans are running; we are glad it wasn’t that phase!

Danny, Bonnie, and I are all battling a cold.  It seems strange to have a cold when it is hot outside.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
