We had a good day at church. Today was Evans Benyah’s last Sunday before going to Inchaban to establish a new church. He has been holding Friday night Bible studies for some time now; next Sunday will be his first Sunday services in Inchaban. Next Sunday, we are going to take everyone to Inchaban for his first Sunday. Joe asked Evans to preach today; two of his sisters came for the morning service and heard a clear presentation of the gospel.
Sunday school and junior church were lively, as usual. I had twenty in Sunday school and thirty-one by junior church time. I usually have different kids come up to help me with the songs. Two little bitty kids came up to stand in front of the pictures; it was so cute.
After church this morning, we all went to visit Brother Blay. He had a stroke and is unable to get around. We have been to visit him before, but the visit today really made an impression on Danny. All the way home, he asked questions about a stroke and was trying to understand why Brother Blay cannot walk. During the testimony time at church tonight, Danny said that he was thankful that we got to go see Brother Blay. A minute later, he raised his hand to say that he was thankful that he got to sing for Brother Blay. Then, he raised his hand and said that he was praying that Brother Blay would be able to walk again.
Brother Blay was crying as we sang some hymns outside his door.
We had a good evening service with sixteen in attendance. Today was also the last Sunday for Bright; he will be leaving to go to Lebanon with the UN. He is the one who got baptized a couple weeks ago.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
