W’apow mu e,
Bonnie seems to be feeling better today. The boys are doing better too.
We spent the day getting ready to go to Kumasi tomorrow. Joe had the kids cleaning up outside. They swept the carport, organized the tool shed, and washed and vacuumed the car.
This afternoon, we had some boys who came up to our house. Joe had gone to run an errand. I went outside to see what they needed. They wanted to play ball. I told them to come to the field on Saturday for Bible Club and that they should not come up the hill to our house. An hour or so later, they were back. Joe went out to meet them this time. They took off running. As they ran, things started falling out from under their shirts. Apparently they had found a few toys in the yard and decided to take them. They had taken Bonnie’s cup too, but it fell out on the trail. Joe followed them, but they all scattered. He talked to one lady who said she knew who they were and that she would go talk to their mother tomorrow and get the stolen toys back.
That is the second time this week that we have had unwanted visitors. Earlier in the week, some teenage boys were trying to steal weights out of the weight room.
With that kind of stuff going on, we hesitate to leave the house empty right now. We have guards lined up, but it will be good to have people around the house too. So, Joe is going to go to the wedding, and the rest of us are staying home. This is the third time that we have planned to go to Kumasi as a family and it has not worked out. Oh well! The kids were disappointed because they were excited about going to Kumasi. When they heard that we weren’t going to the wedding, that was okay. But when they put two and two together and figured out that we weren’t going to Kumasi either, that was a different story.
The boys were having timed races this afternoon. They have to get some Olympic event in daily!
We played a couple games tonight. Danny got a new card game called Spy. He liked it when he was winning, but he did not like it when he had to give his cards away. But, he won the Wormy Apple game; that made up for his other loss.
Nantsew yie!
