Bonjour,
We are back home again. I will briefly try to catch you up on the past few days.
On Friday, Bob and Margie took us into town. We ate lunch with them. Then, Dan and Justin Post met us at the restaurnat to take us to their house.
The boys had a great time playing with the five Post boys. Bonnie got lots of attention. The boys took turns holding her and pushing her around in the stroller. Isaac and Nathan both really like to hold her.
Bonnie went to bed early Friday night. The boys were really tired and went to sleep quickly. I stayed up and played games with Jennifer and some of the boys. We had a good time.
On Saturday, Danny was very fussy all morning. I think it was a combination of a tooth that is still coming in and the fact that he is missing Daddy. Every little noise he heard, he kept saying, “Daddy’s home!”
Both boys took a nap. I rested a little while with Bonnie; she didn’t sleep for long. We had a good time of fellowship with the Posts.
On Sunday morning, we had good services at the Posts’ church. I played two songs on my clarinet. When I finished, everyone clapped. Just as they finished clapping, Danny started clapping and yelled, “Yeah, Yeah!” Dan preached a good message.
On the last Sunday of the month, they have a time for tract distribution after the service. Jennifer and I stayed at the church with the younger children.
When we got back to the house, I had a bad headache and was sick the rest of the evening. Jennifer helped me with the kids. Dan got the boys to take a nap.
I felt much better this morning. I got everything packed up while the boys played with Justin and Isaac. Bonnie slept in.
We left the Posts’ house around 10:15 to meet Lenell in town. We met her at 11:00. On the way to meet us, she had gone to the bank to withdraw money. Just as she reached for the cash in the ATM, the machine drew the money back into the machine. The guard outside told her she would need to come back at 1:00 to get her money. So, we ate lunch and went to a couple stores while we waited for 1:00 to roll around.
When we got to the bank, there was a big line of people waiting outside. I sat in the car with the children until I saw that all of the line had moved inside. We went inside to wait where it was cooler. After talking to the people for about an hour, Lenell found out that they couldn’t give her the money until after they get the tallies from the machine this evening. They told her that the money will be placed back in her bank account.
We had a couple more stops to make and then headed home. Both boys fell asleep in the car; so, they didn’t take a nap when we got home. Maybe everyone will go to bed early this evening.
Joe has been having a great time. They were driving back to Caen, France, from Germany today. Everyone except for Joe flies out from Caen tomorrow morning. Joe will get the rental vehicle turned in and then take the train back to Paris. He flies out Wednesday evening and should arrive here at 18:00.
A demain,
Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
