Bonjour,
Today, Joe and Papa worked on things outside. They got the Luther's pump up and running. Then, they did some work on the switch for the pump in the well.
Nana finished hanging all of the curtains that she made. She did some other little sewing projects too. I did some cleaning and laundry.
The kids went back to school today. When they got to school, they were the first ones there. Bonnie said, "School is cancelled; let's go home." The boys had already taken off to the playground. The others started trickling in.
Joe took Nana and Papa with him to pick the kids up from the school. Nana and Papa got to visit the boys' classrooms. They said that Gilbert was all business; he just kept right on doing his work. Danny got a big grin on his face and jumped out of his seat to hug Nana. His teacher said, "Danny, are you out of your seat without permission?" Then, she told him she was just teasing. Bonnie's class was still napping. All the kids had a good day. When they got home, Danny said, "Mom, today was a special day." I asked him why it was special. He said, "I don't know; it was just special."
I had a headache. I stayed and took a nap and felt better when I got up.
The kids had fun recording a book with Nana tonight. It is a book with a speaker in it, and it will record whatever you say on it. Whoever was not recording was playing Mother May I with Papa.
When it was bed time, Danny busted out bawling. He said, "We'll never get to play with everyone again." Nana and Papa leave tomorrow. : (
Joe will take Nana and Papa to Accra in the morning. Mack Siekbert is going to ride along with them. Nana and Papa fly out tomorrow night. Then, the Luthers arrive on Thursday night. Joe is staying to help them with their luggage. Then, he will come back home on Friday. Please pray for traveling safety.
Also, please pray for my brother, Tony Van Manen, and my nephew, Kody Van Manen. They are traveling to India on a missions trip.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
