W'apow mu e,

I am sorry that it has been a few days since you have heard from us!  Laura is still sick!  I took her to the doctor yesterday morning.  He examined her and then sent us to the lab to get some blood work done.  He wanted to test her for malaria, typhoid, cholera, as well as see if she was anemic or had an infection of some type.  They took her blood and told us they would call us when the results came in.
We headed back home.  I put her to bed and fixed lunch.
The kids have been such a big help to me.  Since I am the chief cook and bottle washer as well as the head nurse, I have been so impressed with these kids.  They have been doing all of the dishes as well as keeping the laundry running.  I put the clothes in the washer and get it going and Gilbert takes them out of the washer and puts them in the dryer and then brings them inside when they are dry.  Danny and Bonnie fold and sort them and put them in the proper rooms.
This morning I left Laura at home with the kids and I went to pick up her lab results and take them to the doctor.  All of the lab results were normal!  No malaria or any kind of infection.  The doctor thinks that she has some kind of virus.  I also called our family doctor in Texas and went over the lab results with him over the phone and he thinks it may be some kind of viral infection like mono.  Dr. Oglesbee is such a blessing to us over the years we have been able to call him at any time and he is able to give us such good advice and he spends so much time researching tropical problems for us!  It is such a blessing to have friends that will help us out when we need it!
I got home fixed lunch and put everyone down for naps!  Praise the LORD for nap time!  It gives me a few minutes to get my head straight before the madness starts over again and I have to fix supper.  I am sure glad that my mom taught us kids how to cook!  I do not enjoy cooking, but I can do it.  Last night we had fajitas and apple pie.  Tonight we had BLTs and corn on the cob out of our garden.  Gilbert picked the corn himself, and he was very proud.  We planted all kids of stuff in our garden with seeds that my parents sent us, most of it was not suited to the tropics and died as soon as it grew up, but the peppers did very well.  I planted sweet corn and it did not even come up, so we replanted the field corn here.  It was ok, a little tough.
Things sure do seem to run better around here when Laura is not down!  We are all a little worried for her, but I guess if it is a virus all we can do is keep her hydrated and well rested.  We sure do covet your prayers for her!
Nantsew yie!
