When the kids got home from school on Friday, all of the bushes had been trimmed. Immediately they decided that bush trimmings were great fort-making materials.

Danny found some other great treasures too. He found a couple “guns” and a “whip” among the trimmings. He had his treasures in his “fort.”
Gilbert was going to show me that he had a pillow in his fort, but Thumper had stolen his pillow. Gilbert had to retrieve it before he could relax in his fort.
This is the life!
