Bonjour,

This morning, the boys were excited because the karate teacher was coming.  He was supposed to come at 9:00 but didn't come until 10:00.  So, we did some school work before he came and finished the rest after karate.  The Post boys have been doing karate for several years.  Gilbert and Danny seem interested in it.  Bonnie even got in on the action today.  She wanted to go see what they were doing.  The karate teacher picked her up and put her on his shoulder.  She was rubbing his head with one hand and motioning to the boys with her other hand.

While the boys did karate, Jennifer helped me in the kitchen for a while.  We got another barrel emptied.  We still haven't come across the silverware – maybe the next barrel.  Jennifer let us borrow some for the time being.

Joe worked on mounting another exhaust fan and getting the rolling air conditioner vented.  That helped cool the kitchen off.

We ate lunch with the Posts today.  It was an African dish with rice, meat, vegetables, and a spicy sauce.  It was good.  Bonnie fell asleep at the table.

The children and I took a nap.  Joe worked on figuring out the stove.  He got it all figured out and told me how it works.

I made sloppy joes for supper.  I made homemade buns, and they turned out much better than the pizza did.

We went to church in Bassam tonight.  Bassam is the town where we are living.  The church in Bassam was started by Missionary Johnnie Todd.  The people were excited to see us.  Joe preached and did a good job.

During the song service, Bonnie was trying to get me to quit singing.  She doesn't know what to think of all this French.  Danny tries to repeat things.  Gilbert is a bit skeptical too.  I'm sure they will start catching on soon.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
