Bonjour,
This morning, we got Joe’s bags all packed. Then, we took the boys over to stay with Margie for awhile. Joe needed to run a couple errands in Anyama. After that, he took me out to lunch in Abidjan. We went to Akle and had delicious chicken strips and poutine. Then, we headed home.
The boys hadn’t taken a nap yet. They had been playing with Jemima. So, we got them to go down for a nap before church. Gilbert was afraid that Daddy was going to leave while he was asleep. Joe told him that he wouldn’t leave until he had told him goodbye. Gilbert said, “Can you kiss me now, Dad, just in case?”
We got the boys up from their naps to get ready for church. We ate quickly. Lenell came to take us to church. Bob Engelhart took Joe to the airport.
Lenell sat with the children and I in church. I had to go out with Bonnie. When I came back, Danny had my coin purse in his hands. Before we could stop him, he said, “Watch this, Gilbert!” as he dumped the coins out on the ground. He tried to do it again, but Lenell caught the coin purse as he started to say, “Watch this…”
We called Joe when we got home. He was all checked in and waiting to board. His flight left at 10:00 P.M. and should arrive in Paris at 6:00 A.M. It is a six-hour flight. From Paris, he will take the subway to the train station and take a train to Caen, where he will meet up with the rest of the group.
Lenell is going to stay with us most of the evenings that Joe is gone. She is here tonight. She put the boys to bed while I fed Bonnie. Bonnie is still going strong.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
