Bonjour,

Joe left the house at 7:00 this morning for an 8:00 dentist
appointment. He got rear-ended by a big flat-bed truck. It broke a
taillight and smashed the bumper in on the right side of the vehicle.
Joe wasn't injured at all. The traffic was stopped, and he could see
the truck coming and that it was going to hit him. Even with all of
that happening, he was still on time for his dentist appointment. He
had lost a filling. The dentist put in a new filling, and Joe was gone
in about ten minutes. He went to get a new taillight. Then, he headed
to the mechanic to have it installed. He left the vehicle there and
came home in a taxi.

Joe took the boys swimming this morning. He explained to Gilbert about
his trip today. When Gilbert heard that Daddy is going on an airplane,
Gilbert thought we should all be going. Gilbert thought that Daddy was
going to see the grandparents without him. Joe explained that he would
be able to talk to us on the computer. After Gilbert got up from his
nap, he climbed up in Joe's lap and whispered in his ear, "Daddy, can I
go with you on the airplane?"

The mechanic brought our vehicle to the house this afternoon. It is
fixed except for the paint job.

Bob Engelhart came over this afternoon to talk to Joe about his trip.
The children and I went for a walk with Margie and Jemima.

Lenell came over this evening. She ate supper with us. Then, the boys
all got a haircut. Lenell showed me how to blend the sides on Joe's hair.

Joe played with the boys this evening. We will all miss Daddy! Lenell
is going to come stay with us at night while Joe is gone.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
