Bonjour,
Joe is leaving on Wednesday evening to go to Europe for two weeks. He
wanted to do something special with the boys before he left. We went
into Abidjan today. We did some grocery shopping. Then, we went to
Orca. There is a big play area on the top floor. We let the boys play
there for awhile. Bonnie and I went and looked at the clothing section
of the store. I hadn't looked there before. Joe stayed around the play
area to keep an eye on the boys.
We went down to the other end of the building to eat lunch. There is a
big pool with fish in it at that end. The boys like to look at the
fish. A bigger fish jumped out of the water and splashed Gilbert.
Gilbert ran to tell us about it. There is also a pet store. There were
some little kittens in there today. The boys had fun holding the
kittens. Danny was a little rough with the one he was holding; so, we
quickly went back out to look at the fish.

Everyone took a nap when we got home. Then, Joe headed into Anyama to
pick up Romeo. They needed to go visit a family in the church. The
children and I went for a walk with Margie and Jemima. Jemima is the
daughter of the national pastor at the Anyama church. She is staying
with the Engelharts for a couple days before school starts back up
again. The boys went to play with Jemima for a little while when we got
back home. They also needed to check on some seeds that they had
planted. The plants are starting to grow; Gilbert was excited to report
about that as soon as he got home.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
