Bonjour,
We had a good day at church. There were 79 in attendance this morning.
My class met in the little room behind the main room for both hours
today since the bamboo structure is still under reconstruction. I knew
that the whole class would be gone if we tried to do it outside without
a wall of any kind. We only had twelve today, but it seemed like there
were a lot more. Everyone was wild today. We had hitting, biting, and
jumping over a sleeping boy (Gilbert and Danny were in on the jumping.)
We usually have two mats on the floor but because of the bamboo being
stored in the room, we only used one mat today. To top it all off, a
little girl had an accident right in the middle of the mat. I didn't
realize what had happened until Gilbert said, "Mom, watch me jump over
the wet spot where someone went potty! Who did that, Mommy? Oh, it was
her Mommy; look at her; she's all wet."
Danny kept invading the candy bag. I let him help me pass out the
candy. That was a mistake because he kept trying to pass out more every
time I turned around.
I was holding Bonnie and a little boy who is about a year old as I tried
to teach the lesson. It was quite an interesting morning, to say the
least! I didn't have a helper today.

On the way home from church, Gilbert said, "Bonnie is sticking her
tongue out at me, Mom. It's not nice to do that." Margie Engelhart
asked Gilbert where he thought Bonnie had learned to stick out her
tongue. (She rides home with us on Sunday mornings because Bob goes out
to a village church.) Gilbert replied, "At church."
After lunch, everyone except for Joe took a nap. Then, we headed back
to church. Joe preached a good message about Job.
On the way home from church, we saw an albino. Gilbert said, "Mom, did
you see that powder boy?" Some of the people here put a white powder on
their skin when they are sick. I guess Gilbert thought the albino had
really gone overboard with the powder.
Lenell had invited us over after church tonight. The Engelharts were
there as well. We ate supper and then played a game. It was a lot of fun.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
