Bonjour,
We had a good day at church. There were three first-time visitors this morning. Two of them were two young adults whom Joe has been visiting for the past several months; we were glad to see them finally come to church. Another man joined the church today.
I had about ten for Sunday school in the six and under class. By junior church time, I had twenty-nine. I had a helper today for both classes; that was good!
During the morning service, we had torrential rains. Joe said that he had to stop preaching for a few minutes because no one could hear him over the rain hitting the tin roof. After church, he took some people to catch a taxi because the road had flooded. We had a full load when we went home too. There are about ten kids who usually ride home with us; two men joined them today.
I got lunch ready. We took naps. Joe made chocolate milkshakes. Then, we headed back to church. There were fifteen in attendance tonight.
Danny and Bonnie have both learned some songs at school. When we sing those songs to them, they think that we are singing them wrong. The Ghanaian pronunciation of words is throwing them off. Today, we sang "The Birds Up in the Tree Top." At the end, it says, "Why shouldn't I, why shouldn't you…" Danny thinks it is "Washing die." Bonnie was singing "His Banner Over me." At the end, she sang, "His banna over me is sluv."
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
