W’apow mu e,
We had a good day at church.  I had 39 in my seven and under class.  We had a wild day once again.  At one point, I was holding two little girls at the same time.  When I would get one calmed down, the other one would start crying; then, they would both cry together.  They were both under one year old.  Joe said that the morning service went well.

After lunch, Joe went to a funeral for the uncle of one of the men in our church.  Several men rode with Joe out to visit the family.

On the way to church this morning, Bonnie had seen a red truck parked in front of a house.  On the way back to church this evening, she remembered right where that truck was.  Just before we got to it, she said, “Gilbert, something that is your favorite color is coming up.  There it is, a red truck!”  Then, she saw a car that was quite colorful; all of the doors were a different color.  She said, “That car is colorish!”  She was really paying attention to colors today.

We do not have a nursery or class for children in the evening.  Some of the children bring a tiny brother or sister with them.  We told them that the children under three need to stay home at night unless a parent comes with them.  There were several children who came in to the auditorium before church started.  There was one little girl who was not old enough to be there without a parent.  Joe told her brother that he needed to take her home.  She did not want to budge from that chair.  Another boy helped him get her out of the chair, and the boy who was about seven set off with her.  A few minutes later, a man came walking into the church yard with both of the children.  He said that the brother was dragging his sister.  She was bound and determined to stay for church.  We let her stay, and she did better than the boys who were older than she was.  As soon as church was over, she was ready to go.

We had a good evening service with fifteen in attendance.  The guys who normally take up the offering were not there tonight.  So, Gilbert and Danny were the ushers during the offering.  At first, they were standing together.  Then, they remembered that one of them was supposed to be on the other side.  So, they fixed that during prayer.  When it was time to take the offering, it turned into a race to see who could get to the people the fastest.  They both went to all of the people.  When they made it back to the front, Danny bumped his basket into Gilbert’s basket as if the baskets were giving a high-five.  Joe and I both got tickled.

The rainy weather has triggered Danny’s asthma and allergies again.  His nose has been dripping, and he has a bad cough again.
Nantsew yie!
