Introduction: A Week that Stirred Our Hearts
At Central Baptist Church in Center, Texas, the 2025 Missions Conference carried a powerful theme: “Beyond Their Power.”
Throughout the week, every message built upon that theme—reminding us that when we surrender to God, He does far more than we could ever imagine.
From the opening challenge on prayer to the closing invitation to pray again, this conference was more than a series of services—it was a spiritual journey.
Each message challenged us to go deeper in faith, obedience, and generosity. Below you’ll find a summary and link to each message, in order of the conference.

The conference opened with a message on Persistent Prayer, reminding us that prayer is not a last resort but the first tool of faith.
With humor and conviction, Bro. Nick Sutmaier illustrated how God honors persistence—even when the answer seems delayed. He reminded us that the strength of a church’s missions program is rooted in prayerful people who refuse to give up.
“When we stop praying, we start relying on ourselves—and that’s when we lose the power of God.”
This message set the tone for everything that followed: God moves when His people pray.

Sunday morning’s message focused on Caleb’s unwavering faith.
Even when others hesitated, Caleb “followed the Lord fully.” Pastor Hudson’s message called us to wholehearted obedience—trusting God even when the path seems impossible.
Faith doesn’t begin with perfect circumstances; it begins with a heart that refuses to turn back.
Just as Caleb believed God could give him the mountain, we too must believe God can accomplish His will through us—beyond our strength, beyond our power.

In part two of Caleb’s story, Pastor Hudson reminded us that God blesses us so that we can bless others.
Caleb claimed his mountain, but that same mountain became a City of Refuge—a place of safety for others.
This message beautifully pictured missions work: God’s blessings are never meant to stop with us.
When we follow Him fully, our obedience becomes a refuge for those still seeking Christ.

From Psalm 119:32, this message challenged us to move from obedience at a crawl to obedience at a run.
Pastor Hudson emphasized that spiritual growth begins when our heart is enlarged—when love for God becomes the driving force behind our service.
The call was clear: don’t lag behind God’s will.
When He gives direction, run the way of His commandments. It’s in that surrender that missions truly thrives.
5. Tuesday Evening: The Debt We Can Pay
📖 Message by Pastor Matt Hudson

Based on Romans 1:14–16, this powerful message reminded us that every believer carries a spiritual debt—the debt of the Gospel.
We owe the message of salvation to every soul who has not yet heard.
Pastor Hudson illustrated this truth with clarity and conviction:
“If someone gave you twenty dollars to pass along to a friend, you’d owe that money until it was delivered. The same is true with the Gospel—it was never meant for us to keep.”
This sermon rekindled the urgency of missions and the joy of sharing Christ’s message with the world.

The conference ended just as it began—with a message about prayer.
Pastor Hudson brought the week full circle, reminding us that every act of giving, every step of faith, and every missionary journey begins and ends in prayer.
Faith Promise giving is not about numbers—it’s about trust.
When we pray sincerely, God enlarges our faith to do what we never thought possible.
As he closed, Pastor Hudson’s words echoed the heartbeat of the conference:
“Prayer works because God works.”
Conclusion: Beyond Their Power
Throughout the week, the Spirit of God reminded us that the work of missions has always been beyond human power.
It takes faith to give, courage to go, and humility to pray—but when we do, God does the rest.
May these messages continue to stir your heart to pray, give, and serve beyond your power, for the glory of God and the spread of the Gospel.
