Bonjour,
This morning, some men came to install our new air conditioner. It is a split unit. So, the part with the compressor is outside. It is very quiet and makes the house much cooler.
Joe and Gilbert went into Anyama to get a couple things that the men needed to do the installing. Danny was offended that he got left behind. So, we played with blocks. We built a tower and used all of the blocks. In the past few days, Danny has decided that he likes to build instead of just knocking the blocks down.
After the air-conditioner men left, Joe and Matt went into Abidjan to get money. The first bank was out of money. The other two banks in that area don’t take our type of bank card anymore. They headed to another part of town to a different bank and ran into a big group of police breaking up a riot. They did a u-turn and went to a different area. As they were waiting in line there, the military came through telling everyone to clear the streets because someone was going to be coming through. They were able to get money there before heading out. After all of that, they got some lunch. It was past lunch time by that time. Thank you for your prayers for our safety. When things like this happen, we are reminded that there are definitely people praying for us.
Gilbert and I went for a walk this evening with Margie, Sarah, and the girls. Gilbert got to play for a few minutes before a big storm hit.
