To be honest, I almost forgot to type the blog this evening. I just remembered.

This morning, I woke up at 7:30. I read my Bible, then quickly got ready. We left around 8:30 A.M., if I remember right. Once we got to the campground, which is where we had our meeting today, we all fellowshipped for a while. We ate some French bread with Nutella and all enjoyed ourselves.

After we had all fellowshipped for a while, we got things started. Bro. Ruckman preached three sessions about raising your children. Although I do not have any children, it was good to listen and learn so that one day I can apply it to my family.

Missionary on Fire Podcast

Preserving the Legacy of Faithful Missionaries

The Missionary on Fire podcast features interviews with veteran missionaries, classic sermons from the field, and stories of God’s faithfulness across generations. If you love the heart behind these stories, you will love the podcast. New episodes regularly.

Once we had finished with the three sessions, we had a delicious meal. Some of the women made attieke, which I had never tried before. Everything I ate tasted very good. Once we had all finished eating, we fellowshipped for a little while; then, we went to see a pig farm. One of the men who was at the meeting has a farm with 82 pigs. It was really cool to see his process and his farm.

Once we had finished there, we started to make our way home. On our way home, we stopped for some pick axes, which we will be needing tomorrow. We then dropped a man off, who had gotten a ride with us. Once we had dropped him off, Bro. Ruckman and Bro. Keith got some money; then, we finished making our way to the house.

Once we had gotten inside, I went up to my room and took a much needed rest. I ended up getting a good thirty minute nap in. After my nap, I went downstairs and played a game with everyone. We played a few rounds, and we all had a lot of fun.

After we had played the game for a while, Mrs. Rebekah started preparing for supper. We had Raclette. I had never had it, but I had heard my parents tell a lot of stories about it. It was really good, and it was definitely a new experience.

After supper, Caleb, Issac, and I played a few rounds of ping pong; then, I headed to my room. It was while I was sitting on my bed that I realized I had not typed the blog for the day. 🙂 I feel like I am really behind because it is 10:10 P.M., and I still have not taken my shower yet. Once I have gotten cleaned up, I will be heading to bed.

  1. What an adventure. Did the pigs smell? That is great that you know about raising kids! Heehee. We went out to eat with the Posts. We really enjoyed it. Have a great day tomorrow! Love you.

  2. I had raclette often in Germany. It’s a good social meal that is very popular for get-togethers. It’s really good!

  3. Seems had a really nice time today.
So proud of you serving where the lord lead you there in Africa.
    Praying for you 🙏
