Bonjour,

This morning, Gilbert brought his shoes to me. He said, “Need shoes, Mama. I need to go to town.” After I put his shoes on, he went to the office to find Joe to tell him that he needed to go to town. After Joe finished working on some things in the office, he and Gilbert went to Anyama to run a couple errands. They went to the Coke depot and to the tailor to check on the shirts that are being made.

When Gilbert came home, Sarah came over to see if he wanted to play with the girls before lunch. They finished school early today. Gilbert told us “See you later!” and was out the door with Sarah.

I made brownies and some lemonade to take over to the Engelharts’ house. We all ate lunch over there today with the Engelharts, Pastor Hamilton, and the Litsons. We had cous-cous, a North African dish. It is a grain made from wheat covered with a vegetable-stew type dish. Sarah made pumpkin bars for dessert. The adults had the pumpkin bars, and the kids enjoyed the brownies.

After lunch, the boys went down for a nap. I got to rest for a little while too.

Joe took Bob Engelhart to the hospital in Youpogon. A little boy from Donkoi has been in the hospital there for a week or so. He got to go home today. Bob went to pay the bill so that the boy could go home. They got back just in time to pick us up for church.

Brother Hamilton preached again tonight. It was a good message.

During the invitation, Gilbert wanted to know why everyone was sleeping. When they started to stand up, he said, “Mama, they get up!”

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
