Bonjour,

This morning, we did some work around the house in preparation for company for lunch. Then, Joe and Gilbert went up to the church to see how things were going there.

We told Gilbert that the Posts were coming for lunch. He was excited and kept looking for the boys. When Joe and Gilbert headed to the church and got out to the main road, Gilbert told Joe, “I want to go that way; see Justin and Isaac.” To go to the church, we have to turn right at that intersection, but Gilbert wanted to turn left. He is getting his directions figured out.

Joe and Gilbert stopped at the phone company to get a card for our phone. While they were in the shop, the Brinks truck came. The whole shop is locked down while the Brinks truck is there; nobody can leave or come in. So, they had to wait about twenty minutes before they could leave. Then, they went on to the church. After they got things sorted out there, they came back home just in time for Joe to grill the pork chops for lunch.

The Posts got here about 1:00. We had a good time of fellowship with them. Gilbert sat at the little table with Justin and Isaac; he thought he was big stuff! Danny had his first experience with jello. He had red everywhere.

The Litsons and Engelharts came at 2:00 for dessert. The guys watched the football game from last night. The ladies and children went over to the Litsons’ after dessert. The kids played on the trampolene and the swingset. The ladies sat and talked. I stayed busy keeping Danny out of trouble; he loves to go right for the dirt.

Just after we came back home, we had a big storm. The power went off for awhile. When it came back on, Gilbert wanted to watch Mary Poppins. After his day of playing with all of the kids and no nap, he fell asleep on the couch. Meanwhile, Danny discovered some drinks and cake that were left on the little table. He took care of those for us.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
