Bonjour!

This morning, we took the boys to the children’s clinic to get their shots. We found out that Wednesdays are only for babies; Gilbert has to go back on Friday.

Joe and Gilbert went to run an errand while I waited at the clinic with Danny. I had to purchase a flour sack for 50 cents. It looks like a purse made out of a flour sack. It has a long strap. The “purse” has two holes for the baby’s legs. Their arms flop about above the “purse” as the sack is placed on a fish scale. The baby hangs there for a minute until they get the weight written down. Danny screamed when I had to let go of the sack. Danny weighs 12 lbs. 12 oz. now. He is eight weeks old.

After we waited in line to be weighed, we then waited in the line for shots. Danny got one shot today that was for five different things.

We then went to the grocery store. Gilbert has many friends at the grocery store. One lady lets him sit with her at her cash register. Another lady pushes him around in a little cart. He also loves to ride the motorcycle that is in the front of the store.

This afternoon, Danny woke up screaming. His shot is really bothering him. His thigh is all red. We called the doctor to see if that is normal. He said that it sounds like Danny is having a local reaction to the shot. We are to put a cold compress on his leg and keep giving him Tylenol. Then, we will take him to see the doctor in the morning.

Joe took Gilbert with him to church. While Joe preached, Gilbert sat by Brother George and was a good boy.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
