Bonjour!
Joe had a busy day yesterday and didn’t get a daily e-mail sent. So, we will fill you in on yesterday and today.
Our vehicle was still in the shop yesterday. So, Bob Mach picked up Joe, his Mom, and Gilbert. They dropped Gilbert off at the Wideners. Then, Bob brought them to the hospital. He came in for a minute to see how I was doing.
The doctor had just made his rounds when they arrived. He said that after I walked around for a little bit, I could be moved to a private room. I was waiting for the IV to be disconnected. They came and said that they were ready to move me, and I hadn’t even walked around yet. Oh well, we moved! The private room is much cooler!
Joe took a taxi to get some lunch for him and his mom. I was just supposed to drink liquids yesterday. We rested while he was gone.
Brother Widener and one of his deaf converts came for a visit. Brother Widener enjoyed holding Danny. He invited Joe and his Mom for supper. They were having the Machs over as well.
Joe went to run a couple errands. He went by to check on the vehicle. They had a different alternator in the vehicle, but they didn’t have the right belt for that alternator. Joe sent the guy to get the belt before the place that sells belts closed. He called Bob Mach to see if he could pick up him and his Mom and take them to the Wideners. Bob said that he could do that. He called Joe back a few minutes later and told him that he had a flat tire. So, Brother Widener picked up the Machs. In the meantime, they got our vehicle up and running. So, Joe came here and got his Mom.
After supper, the women were getting haircuts. Gilbert fell asleep in Joe’s lap. He was worn out from playing hard all day. He slept all the way home and didn’t even wake up when they got home.
Joe gave the Machs a ride home. When he backed up, he got stuck in the mud. He put the vehicle into four-wheel drive and was able to get right out. It was almost 11:00 by the time that they got home.

Danny and I had a good night. He woke up at midnight but went right back to sleep. Then, he woke up at 3:00. I had just gotten him back to sleep when they came to get him for his bath. They give him a bath around 4:30 in the morning.
This morning, Joe brought Mom and Gilbert to stay with me while he went soul winning. Kendall, a boy in our neighborhood, rides with him. So, he got to hold the baby for a minute.
It was so much fun to watch Gilbert’s face when he saw Danny. His eyes got big, and he smiled. He kept rubbing Danny’s head. His hair is so soft! Joe took some pictures.
Gilbert hadn’t seen me since Wednesday. I was holding Danny; so, he wanted me to hold him too. Nana took Danny so that I could play with Gilbert for a little while. Gilbert would come see me for a few minutes, play with his toys for a few minutes, and then go look at that baby again.
Nobody came for soul winning. So, Joe came back up here. He took Gilbert and Nana home for lunch and naps. Danny and I got a nap in as well. In fact, Danny is still asleep.
Joe made supper. Gilbert just woke up. They are going to bring supper up here and visit with me and Danny for awhile.
We want to thank everyone who has been praying for us. We are thankful that everything went well with the delivery.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
