Bonjour!

Joe was up at 5:00 this morning to do cooler duty. We put the things that we will need from the refrigerator in the cooler on power-off days. That way, we can keep the refrigerator shut all day. He made fried pies for breakfast today. He has been quite ambitious!

Joe and Gilbert went into town this morning to run errands. Gilbert is everybody’s friend!

I got some laundry folded and graded papers. I moved out to the porch because it was a little cooler out there. It was cloudy today; so, it didn’t get as hot as it has been getting.

This afternoon, Gilbert took a nap. I couldn’t sleep. So, I sorted some recipes and did some other little things.

Joe went to make some visits this evening. They haven’t been able to catch many people at home on Saturdays. Everyone that they went to visit this evening was home.

The power came back on about thirty minutes ahead of schedule. Gilbert helped me unload the cooler and put things back in the refrigerator. I was thanking him; so, he said, “Thank you” each time he handed me something.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, and Gilbert
