Bonjour,
This morning, the kids were so eager to go outsie for Bible club that they were ready to go without any breakfast. They had their Dutch pancakes and then hurried out the door. When Bonnie came back in, she told me that their story was about Meshadrach. She combined the names of the Hebrew children who were thrown into the fiery furnace. Gilbert told me about the fourth man in the fire. He said, “Do you know who it was, Mom? It was God!” Danny said, “When you see a king, Mom, you should always bow. That’s what I learned.”
Joe spent the day installing the pump, laying water lines, and fixing leaks on the existing line. He got it all hooked up and running. The well is a lot smaller than our water tanks, but once we get the tanks filled, it won’t be difficult to keep them filled up.
Danny has been asking for brownies. I got those made this morning. I did a couple loads of laundry and got them out on the line. Bonnie was helping me. She handed me a few things; then she said that she needed to take a break. She sat down until I was almost finished and then came back to hand me the last few things. While I was putting the clothes on the line, she was telling me about her naughty children, Wheatie and Calove (I asked her if it was Caleb or Kaila. She said, “It’s a girl, Mom. Her name is Calove.”). I mentioned her imaginary children at lunch. Joe asked her where they were. She said, “They’re outside playing, Dad. Can’t you see them?”
The kids and I took naps except for Gilbert. Joe had told him that after Bonnie and Danny went to sleep that he could go outside. Gilbert was beginning to wonder if they would ever go to sleep; they did eventually.
I made chicken nuggets and fries for supper. I thought the kids would gobble them up. Gilbert ate his right away. It took forever for Danny and Bonnie to finish.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
