W’apow mu e,
Today was the last day of school. They let them go at noon today so that they could get rested up for the long program this evening.
Joe took the boys to school. Bonnie and I did some things around the house. The jet lag kicked in earlier today.
The kids and I all took a nap after lunch. Then, we got ready to head to the school for the K-5 graduation and program. We were the taxi service. We had sixteen people in the vehicle on the way to the school.
The boys did really well tonight. Gilbert kept his eyes on the clock on the back wall the whole time just like his teacher had told him to do; he didn’t even glance at us once. Danny was looking all around. The K-5 did their program in parts. They did part of it at the beginning and part of it toward the end. Gilbert quoted Matthew 22:36-39, and Danny quoted a poem. While Danny’s class quoted Psalm 23, he was dressed like a shepherd and was petting a lamb. On his way back to his spot, he tripped and almost went down. After all the classes did their presentation, Brother Morgan preached and made announcements. Then, the K-5 came back in to receive their diplomas. They had the K-5 students sit down on benches while they gave out the other awards. Gilbert got one of the two Christian Character awards for the whole student body. Danny started crying when they were handing out those certificates because he didn’t think he was going to get one. When they started handing out the diplomas, he was happy again. Danny’s teacher got the teacher of the year award. Danny was so excited about that; he jumped up off the bench to cheer for her. Bonnie did pretty good for having to sit still for almost three hours. We took some pictures afterward and then headed home. I will try to get some pictures sent tomorrow if the internet will cooperate.
It was one year ago today that Gilbert and Danny got saved!
Nantsew yie!
