W’apow mu e,
Today was the first official day out of school.  The children were up bright and early, of course!

We just took it easy this morning.  We headed into town around 10:30.  We stopped at an office in Sekondi to pick up paperwork for another missionary who Joe was helping.  Then, we went on to Takoradi.  We ate lunch at Planter’s Lodge.  While we waited for the food, we played “I Spy.”  Then, I asked the kids questions about the circus.  They were telling me their favorite part and the funniest part to them.  Gilbert filled up on the bread that they bring out before the meal.  He ate four pieces of bread and then only wanted one piece of pizza.  That worked out well for Danny because he is not too fond of plain bread; that meant more pizza for him.

After lunch, we went to the grocery store.  We kept everyone awake on the way home.  Then, we got naps in.  The kids all took a long nap.  After naps, Joe watched them swim while I worked on supper.  I got the chicken ready, and Joe grilled it for me while I worked on other things.

The boys were racing hot wheel cars in the living room.  Joe was telling them when to go and keeping score.

We watched the Olympic opening ceremony.  Danny wanted to know when each new country came out if they were bad guys or good guys.  It was funny listening to the kids trying to pronounce the names of some of the countries.  The kids stayed up a lot later than usual.  Bonnie was asleep not even sixty seconds after I put her in bed.
Nantsew yie!
