Bonjour,
We had a good day at church. The attendance was down this morning due to the storm last night. The power is still off and was off at church all day as well.
I had thirteen in my class today. My helper didn't come today. The kids were wild today. One of the other teachers chased some of my kids back into the classroom with a switch. Gilbert said, "Mom, you need a twitch." He must have gone and asked the other teacher for one. He came back with a switch. Gilbert and Danny kept reminding me that I could use my "twitch." I held it in my hand, and the kids stayed quiet during the lesson for the most part.
One of the men in the church just got back from being in Lebanon with the UN for six months. He is dating one of the ladies in the church. Bonnie sat between them at the beginning of church before the children were dismissed for junior church.
We came home and had lunch. Then, Joe and Dan went to the ordination service for Prince and Kouasi at the Siekberts' church. The kids helped me make a cake for Brother Dan's birthday before naps. Dan told us several times that his birthday is tomorrow. So, we took a cake to church tonight.
Some of the neighborhood kids always greet us when we pull up into the church yard on Sunday evenings. They saw me carrying the cake, and eleven of them came to church tonight. That boosted our attendance up to twenty-four this evening. I was glad that I made a sheet cake so that we had enough for everyone!
Joe is starting to feel better. He goes back to the dentist tomorrow to have the tooth drained.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
