Bonjour,
The vehicle started right up this morning. We went to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Arthur, a man who took some of Joe’s Bible Institute classes when he taught here a few years ago, taught the Sunday school lesson today. He mentioned several times that he had learned these things from Pastor Joe. It was a blessing to listen to him.
The kids went to the Sunday school and junior church without me today. They told me that when Gilbert first realized that I wasn’t there, he said, “Where’s Mommy?” They told him that I was in my class and that he could go to class with the Luther kids and Danny and Bonnie; he was fine after that. April said that one of the kids picked Bonnie up, and Bonnie started screaming. When they put her down, she was fine.
Evans, another man who was also in the Bible Institute when we were here before, preached in the morning and evening services. He did a good job.
On the way home this evening, Gilbert asked, “Why does everybody look at us?” I told him that it was because they don’t see very many white people. Bonnie said, “I’m not white; I’m pink.”
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
