W'apow mu e,
The boys are supposed to take turns fixing Bonnie's toothbrush. It is Gilbert's turn in the morning and Danny's turn at night. Gilbert forgot to do it this morning. Bonnie said, "The b-b-brothers did not do their job!" She said it like that is the word that she has learned for the letter "b." She is a mess.
It rained all night last night and most of this morning. There is a portion of the road that has turned into huge craters. When it rains, the road is really a mess! A school bus tried to come through the big holes at an angle and got stuck. A truck tried to go around the bus on the shoulder and tipped into the bus, thus blocking the road which they usually take to go to school. They had to go up through a neighborhood with even worse roads to bypass the blocked road. Some trucks who were going the opposite direction also had the same idea, and they got stuck on those roads. It was a miracle that they made it to school at all this morning. It took an hour and a half to go about four miles. The traffic was not moving at all after Joe dropped the kids off at school. He could not get home that way. So, he just went into town.
In town, he met up with Dwayne Harrison. (Dwayne is a missionary in Mali. They are back in Ghana due to civil unrest in Mali.) Dwayne bought a motorcycle yesterday and needed to get everything put in his name. Joe helped walk him through that process. Joe has made friends with the cashier at the DVLA. As soon as he saw Joe, he said, "Pastor! What do you need today?" He took the paperwork and money and saved them several hours of waiting in line. In two hours, they had all of the paperwork finished. (The first time Joe did it, it took six hours.) After they finished there, they went to lunch. From there, Joe went to get the kids from school.
By that time, the rain had stopped, and the bus and truck had been moved out of the road. They made it home about the same time as normal.
I practiced on the keyboard some more today and read a book. It was a nice day for relaxing with the rain coming down.
We sent a book with Gilbert today so that he could write down his homework assignments in it. He misunderstood, and the teacher didn't know what it was for either. So, he had him write down the whole homework exercise in that book and told him to copy it to his language book. I showed Gilbert what I meant this afternoon. He never can remember exactly what he is supposed to do for homework; so, we thought that this might help.
Danny had homework in three subjects. He was worried about it taking him too long. So, he wanted to do some of it tonight. It did not take him as long as he thought it would. He finished it all tonight.
