W'apow mu e,
While the kids were getting ready for school this morning, Gilbert was telling me about what he did at school yesterday. (He just started second grade.) He said, "We were writing something . . ." He paused to think about it. I asked if it was words or special sounds. He said, "No, it was something kind of like a story but shorter." I said, "A sentence?" He said, "Yes, that's what they were – sentences!"
Joe took the kids to school. Then, we worked on hanging the rest of the curtains and wall hangings in the living room. It looks nice.

Joe got a call this afternoon that Brother Blay died. Joe picked the kids up from school and brought them home. Then, he and a couple of men in the church went to visit the family. They said that they will meet next Tuesday to discuss when the funeral will be. Funerals here are sometimes weeks or months after the death. Pray for the family. Pray that we can be a witness to them.
Bonnie (4 years old) declared at supper tonight: "I'm never getting married – BAD BUSINESS!" She keeps us laughing.
Bonnie was the only one with homework tonight. Her teacher made dotted letters all down the page today after he saw her work from yesterday. It was fine if he made the dots, but she thought she would be in trouble if I made the dots.
Nantsew yie!
