W'apow mu e,

Joe took the kids to school.  Then, he helped me with my curtain project.  He took the old curtains down that were in the living room and helped me put the new ones up.  I got another set shortened and ready to go up tomorrow.

The power went off this afternoon for an hour.  Then, it went back off again this evening for load shedding.

The kids had a good day at school.  The boys played soccer with LF, our guard, this afternoon.  They played for quite a while and were all hot and sweaty when they came in for supper.  Gilbert hit the ball with his head once, and Danny had a high kick.  Bonnie tried to play but got knocked down.

Just as we sat down for supper, the power went off.  We have been trying to make sure that the outside lights are turned off before we start the generator because it is blowing the bulbs out of their sockets for some reason.  We thought we had both switches off, but one was still on.  Joe had just replaced those light bulbs, and they are all gone again on that side of the house.  The pool pump went out the other day with all of the power outages.

Bonnie was working on her homework tonight.  She is starting cursive writing.  The teacher writes one line for her to trace; then, she is supposed to fill the rest of the page.  I had been making dots for her to follow.  When I started to do the dots this evening, she started crying and said that she was supposed to do it by herself.  She was supposed to do two columns of "i" and one column of "u."  I made sure that she saw that it was two different letters.  She did pretty good on "i."  "U" looked more like "w," but she did it all by herself.  Gilbert's homework was to draw a rocket.  Danny didn't have any homework; so, he drew a rocket too.

Nantsew yie!
